Terrific Tuesday Tunes

I performed in "Dido and Aeneas" when I was a voice major. This piece, "When I Am Laid in Earth," haunted me, and, even though I was only 19, I knew that I wanted it sung at my funeral.

At my age, I never thought I would be dealing with the passing of people this "young," but several of the parents of my children's classmates have died within the past year. One from a sudden brain aneurysm, one from a stroke, one from cancer. These were people in their early 40s and late 30s!

It's on my mind.

  1. (((((Hugs))))) It's hard to think about our own mortality. I'm sorry you've had some hard losses latley.

Try to think of it like this -- you're still here, so you should live every day to the fullest. Enjoy life and don't sweat the small stuff.
